Are you interested in taking a brief survey about emojis? If you speak English and are at least 18 years of age, we are asking you to participate in a brief, online research survey from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth. The goal of the study is to identify what emojis you associate with different emotions. The survey is online and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
This information is part of a world-wide effort to understand how we think about emotions. All responses are confidential and no identifying information will be captured or stored. The risk associated with your participation in this research study is no greater than the risks you encounter in your everyday life. If you do not want to participate you may close your browser.
If you are interested in having your name added to a drawing for one ($50) Visa gift card, you will be able to enter your name and contact information at the end of the survey. This information is optional and will not be linked in any way to your responses on the survey. You may also choose to not enter this information. This information, however, is required to participate in the drawing so that we may contact you. The winner will be contacted after the survey closes, either in May 2017 or after approximately 1000 responses.
Whether you decide to participate or not, please forward this email to anyone over the age of 18 years who might be interested and speaks English.
