Welcome to the ABLE Laboratory! ABLE stands for Affect, Behavior, Learning and Embodiment! We study how affective information is perceived in the face, as well as regulated in the body. We do this through a variety of experimental and survey techniques, working in a behavioral lab as well as directly in the community. We also study how the body is crucial for learning and cognition, a phenomenon known as “embodied cognition”. Together, we are ABLE and promote able minds and bodies for better health, living, and learning!
